Sergio Garcia

Sergio Garcia is a finance and accounting professional with experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and process automation. He blends strong accounting knowledge with advanced data and automation skills—including Python, KNIME, Power Query, Alteryx, and Power Automate—to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve the accuracy of financial operations.

 

Before TriPoint Advisors, Sergio worked at Nassau Financial Group, where he managed general ledger activities, daily balancing, investment accounting, intercompany settlements, and expense allocations across multiple entities. He also played a key role in modernizing several accounting workflows, reducing manual tasks from hours to minutes and enhancing system automation and reporting.

Prior to Nassau, Sergio worked at CBIZ (formerly Federman, Lally & Remis) in Farmington, CT. He performed accounting-focused audit work across multiple industries and developed automated audit workflows in Alteryx that reduced data preparation time.

Sergio holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and both an MBA and MSA in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.

 

Outside of work, Sergio enjoys spending time with his wife, Meghan, and their two sons, Santiago and Matías. He also likes running and playing pickleball, squash, and soccer.
